MoMA's Party in the Garden

Michael Ovitz and daughter Kimberly Ovitz were in attendance at the Museum of Modern Art's annual Party in the Garden benefit, a fundraiser for the Museum’s general operating fund, supporting MoMA's educational programs and the care, study, and exhibition of the collection.

Held in the enchanting Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, the event honored Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and the City of New York and artists Ellsworth Kelly and Cindy Sherman, in recognition of their support of MoMA. The event also celebrated the 90th birthday of Mr. Kelly. Co-Chairs of the event were Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, Alisa and Dan Doctoroff, Agnes Gund, Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder, and Jack Shear.

"Anna Wintour sat by Mike Ovitz, who has emerged as a major art collector.  Jeff Koons held court nearby," said the New York Times.

The evening was punctuated by the band fun., who took to a stage around 11 p.m. for a mini-concert that comprised their hits “We Are Young” and “Carry On.
