Kimberly Ovitz, the daughter of Michael Ovitz, has formally launched a lower-priced, eco-friendly line, 'O by Kimberly Ovitz' at Curve, a boutique on Mercer Street in New York. The launch is detailed in this article in The Hollywood Reporter.

"Guests noshed on rock candy and sipped Skinny Girl libations while checking out the Spring/Summer 2012 super-soft tees and dresses that retail for less than $200 and are available in black, white, peach and coral."

"At the launch, Ovitz was wearing one of her own O creations, a slouchy, long black dress, which she described to reporters as 'cozy, easy, accessible, approachable.' The new line is made of eco-friendly Tencel material, and the line's minimal, modern designs are inspired by best-selling pieces from her larger collection that debuted on the runway during New York Fashion Week."

"Ovitz has been designing for 4 years, and her work has been compared by fashion critics to the easy body-conscious clothing of Alexander Wang and Jil Sander. Marie Claire crowned her 'the next Donna Karan.'
