Michael Ovitz' daughter, fashion designer Kimberly Ovitz, recently released her Fall/Winter fashion line at the prestigious New York Fashion Week to a number of favorable reviews. Check out this review in style.com, which includes commentary on the entire line. Some of the questions posed to Kimberly Ovitz inevitably surrounded the white dress she designed, infamously worn by Lindsay Lohan in a recent court appearance. From the L.A. Times:
"The dress, designed by Kimberly Ovitz, sold out around the country within hours. It was so popular, Ovitz is recutting it. 'It's actually one of the styles we do every season,' she said at the presentation of her fall line at Pace Gallery. 'It's called the Glavis dress.'
Best part is, the whole thing was news to her. 'I found out when TMZ called me to confirm it was mine,' Ovitz said. 'She bought it on her own.'
Asked if she would have worn the dress to court, Ovitz demurred, 'I hope I am never in a position where I have to think about that.'
An appropriately dignified response from a classy designer. Look for good things to come from Kimberly Ovitz.
